Special interest in the larger animals

Alistair qualified from Edinburgh in 1998 and worked in mixed practice before joining Parkside in 2002. Since then he has become a Partner here at Parkside. Alistair is particularly interested in the large-animal side of the practice but also enjoys operating and consulting in the surgery. A son of a farmer, he was brought up in Cumbria and has always had horses as well as cattle and sheep.
Alistair enjoys investigating animal health problems, herd/flock health planning and dental work and surgery in all species.
He and his wife have 2 daughters who keep Alistair busy when he is not playing rugby for Panmuir RFC. Currently he has two guinea pigs, a cat and tropical fish with the the recent addition of a border terrier pup.
